Your driver-guide will pick you up at 7:00 AM from your hotel in Kampala. Begin your journey westward along the Masaka–Mbarara Road, with the first stop at the Equator for photo opportunities and a brief breakfast.
Continue to Mbarara, where you will visit the Igongo Cultural Centre. Here, you’ll explore the traditions of the Banyankole people, learn about traditional and modern farming practices, observe Ankole longhorn cattle, and visit the museum showcasing pottery, iron smelting, ancient Ankole architecture, and the region's history.
After lunch, you’ll hike Biharwe Hill, the site of the historic Eclipse Monument, commemorating a rare eclipse event with significant cultural impact. In the afternoon, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you’ll check into your lodge and relax for the evening.
